The fabric is Pure Blue Japan at its best: a proprietary 14oz Japanese selvedge denim woven in Okayama on vintage shuttle looms under low tension. This slower weaving method creates the brand’s signature irregular surface with subtle hairiness, natural slub, and rich texture throughout. The denim starts deep and dark, then rewards long-term wear with high-contrast fades and a uniquely personal patina.
Construction details stay true to PBJ standards: blue selvedge ID, button fly, hidden back pocket rivets, reinforced rear pockets, chain-stitched finishing, and a premium deerskin leather patch.
